March 12, 2018

The cleantech company Advansor has just appointed their new managing director, 40-year-old Kristian Breitenbauch, who comes from a position as Director of Operations at Scanenergi A/S. He takes over the position after one of Advansor's founders, 48-year-old Kim G. Christensen, who has been leading the company since its start in 2006.

Kim G. Christensen will continue with Advansor as Director of Business Development. He will be focusing on the company's technology, products and markets.

Focus on the organisation
During the recruitment process, emphasis has been put on finding a candidate who understands the Advansor DNA and holds the management skills to lead the company at a time with great changes and technological advances in the refrigeration market.

 - It has therefore been very important for me to find a candidate who combines strong management skills with genuine understanding of our business and the market we operate in, explains Kim G. Christensen.

Kristian Breitenbauch is looking forward to the new challenges in his new position.

- It is a great honour for me. I have been following Advansor since the company’s start 12 years ago and I have great respect for what they have achieved and for their strong position in the market, says Kristian Breitenbauch.

In his new position he will focus on developing and strengthening the organisation.

- And I will put a lot of focus on protecting the pioneering spirit and the unique commitment you find among the employees. Our technology still holds great development potential and my main task is to ensure that the conditions are still in place to hold on to our position as the global leader, says Kristian Breitenbauch.

Maintaining the position
Kim G. Christensen is convinced that the organisational change is taking place at the right time. He is looking forward to being able to concentrate more on the areas where he has his strengths.

- We have a very strong position in the global market for refrigeration with natural refrigerants. With the market in rapid development, the competition is changing too, and it is therefore crucial that we continue to expand our business and maintain our position as the supplier of the best technology, he says.

Worldwide, many refrigeration installations are facing replacement – with this development very much supported by laws and environmental regulation favouring modern plants based on natural refrigerants. Over the years Advansor has seen very satisfying growth, most recently with a 39 percent revenue increase in 2017.

Kristian Breitenbauch holds a Master's degree in Business Administration. He took over the position as Managing Director on March 1st.
