The world’s largest CO2-refrigeration project

Staay Food Group of Dronten in the Netherlands has specialised in the global production and processing of vegetables and fruit since 1946. Staay employs more than 3000 people and currently builds an all-in-one city farming, vegetable processing and cooling facility.
"Products are refrigerated immediately after their harvest and remain refrigerated while being further processed within the company. All this is being done in a way that is completely sustainable" says Mr Niels Vlasbom of Staay Food Group. “Staay chose to cool with CO2, a natural refrigerant”, explains Peter Staal of Advansor and continues “many entrepreneurs are not familiar with the possibilities of CO2 refrigeration, but in countries with temperate climates like the Netherlands, CO2 refrigeration works fine and the total installation costs are also lower”. In order to prevent further global warming, governments struck deals to phase out chemical refrigerants, the real impact of which will start in 2020. From this time onwards companies will have to switch to natural refrigerants. Therefore, by installing CO2 refrigeration systems, Staay Food Group is making a decision which is future proof and investing in sustainability.

The complete installation has a power of 3,5 MW. Compare that to the average supermarket with a refrigeration power of 100 kW!"

Advansor’s Swedish branch - Advansor AB, represented by Country Manager Conny Andersson, received the highest score in the above mentioned categories with the following additional remarks; “Advansor AB represents a good and enduring relationship with development and customer focus. They provide highly reliable quotes, prices and deliveries. In an increasingly competitive market Advansor AB shows that it is possible to be a profitable company and we expect Tesab’s confidence in Advansor will continue to grow further in the future”.

Advansor is naturally delighted with this prestigious award and with the employment of Morgan Magnusson as Project Manager for Sweden, the company works to build on this success and to further improve its service to the Swedish market.

Employee No 100 on board

Advansor is a fast growing business and in 10 years the number of employees has grown considerably. On January 1st, 2017 we welcomed our one hundredth employee, which represents a company milestone. "There is something about round numbers - and the fact that we now have more than 100 employees is a sign that we are making good progress," says Director of Finance & Administration, Klaus Noergaard of Advansor.

"We have continuously delivered growth in both revenue and profit, but in order to be even stronger in the long term and to provide competitive systems for our customers, we need to continuously recruit new mechanical designers and engineers – in the same way as we have added new talent to our sales and marketing teams in recent years”.
Employee no. 100 is Jesper Swartz, who is employed as a R&D Engineer (jes@advansor.dk). Congratulations!

In addition, we are delighted to have on-board Bo Kristensen for After Sales Support, (bkr@advansor.dk) and Morgan Magnusson as a Project Manager for Sweden, (mma@advansor.dk)
